Doug's responsibility is the editing, development, and operations of the various SimHQ web sites.
He has over 35 years experience in the advertising and communications
industry, and has won several regional and national creative communications awards. Doug
early retired in 2009 from his corporate communication job as manager of a creative services group to spend full time on SimHQ.
Doug only half-jokingly calls himself the SimHQ "custodian", referring to SimHQ's history of the simulations hobby and industry dating back to 1998.
His first entry into simulations was Microsoft Flight Simulator
4 on his father's PS2. His first combat sim was Dynamix' Aces of the Pacific. When there is time to actually play sims
— which is far too infrequent with SimHQ responsibilities
— his simulation "genre of choice" is Motorsports.
