SimHQ Site Emeritus
Hi
folks!! Its a real pleasure to be part of SimHQ! This is the place to be
for the latest and best info on whats going on in our sim world. As for
me, Im the old guy of this bunch. After USAF pilot training, I was a pilot
training instructor in the T-37 for what seemed a lifetime until I managed to
wrangle a fighter assignment. I went to Vietnam in F-4s and followed that up with
another tour in the Rhino in Europe. Then it was back to the States to fly the
F-104 in Arizona. I went to the Fighter Weapons School, first as a student and
then back as an instructor. A desk job assignment followed that, and
then it was off to Europe again, this time in the A-10. This was the best flying
of my career... the Cold War was still on and the bad guys were just over the
hill. I returned to the US for another two years in the Hog until I retired in
1988.
Since then, Ive flown
for TWA and American Airlines and am presently a Captain on
the MD-80. My sim involvement began in 1992 with F3 and the
old Prodigy group of Falcon3 enthusiasts. One thing led to
another, and now I spend quite a bit of time on the forums
with all your questions and comments. There seems to be a
need for someone to translate real world concepts into ideas
that you all can use to get the max out of your sim. Ill
do my best to be the go-between when air combat sims bump
up against the real fighter world. Im enjoying it and
am looking forward to many happy landings here at SimHQ.
