Tom "WKLINK"
Cofield
SimHQ Contributing Editor

My fascination
with military history probably started as a child for me.
Instead of watching "The Wonderful World of Disney"
as a child, my father instead wanted to watch "World
At War" on PBS. By the time I was 10, I had no idea who
Timmy the Puma was but I knew all about the battle of Stalingrad.
I blame it all on my father...he warped me.
My first
game was 'B-17 Bomber' for the old Intellivision (anyone remember that?). I spent
hours flying missions to bomb German factories while shooting down pixels that
supposedly looked like FW 190s. I joined the Army when I was 17 and in one form
or another have been in ever since. I got hooked
on sims while in college. My wife, in what she considers probably the worst decisions
she has ever made, let me buy a computer for school papers. With Word Perfect,
I also bought Aces Over Europe and a $3 joystick. I have been hooked ever since.
You can look for me in Warbirds, Aces
High, or on the Kali EAW server under my callsign WKLINK.
I am probably one of the most ardent fighter pilots out there,
and one of the worst. WKLINK means Wilhelm Klink, but others
have pointed out that WeaK LINK applies to me too.
