Keeper" Jenkins

My love for military aviation goes back as far as I can remember. I was an Air Force "brat" from the time I was born and recall my dad sneaking me around the flightline in his fuel truck on more than one occasion before I was old enough to start school. It stuck with me throughout my life, enough so that when I was old enough I joined the USAF to be a Crew Chief. I spent 86-90 as an F-4E/G (Wild Weasel) Phase Inspection Team Member and flight line Crew Chief. The name "Weasel Keeper" is actually a term for a Wild Weasel Crew Chief. I then joined the Indiana Air National Guard and was a Crew Chief on F-4Es and then F-16C/Ds, and separated as a Staff Sergeant (E-5) in 94. Up until 2005 I was an A&P licensed Maintenance Technician at Shuttle America Airlines on SF340A turboprop aircraft. Late 2005 I reenlisted in the Indiana Air National Guard and am currently a full time Federal Technician F-16C+ Crew Chief.
I've been into flight sims as a hobby since "Top Gun" on my old C64 circa 1988. Since that time I've flown just about everything. I was the XO of the 87FIS Red Bulls virtual flight squadron in Jane's USAF for almost five years. I've spent a lot of my time in the past two or three years beta testing flight sims, but my new favorite sim hobby is racing rFactor with SimHQ Motorsports.
In my free time I enjoy playing hockey, snow skiing, camping, hiking, traveling, and seeing a good air show anytime one is near.
Send Jay a SimHQ private message.
