Loadouts include wing and tip fuel tanks, and practice nuclear weapons mounted on the center fuselage. There is also a custom bombing calculator that will score your bombing runs. The low level attacks utilize a dual timer and a specific bombing profile, all of which is modeled. My accuracy was never very good, but then again when you are delivering a nuclear weapon pinpoint accuracy might not be so critical.
The online manual is well written and describes both the software and the utilization of the systems in good detail. Some of the diagrams and checklists appear to be taken directly out of the real F-104 operations manual which gives the documentation a nostalgic look in some places.

Altogether the Classic Jet Simulations CF-104 represents a fantastic opportunity to relive the glory days of Cold War technology. The F-104 was truly a “rocket with a man in it” and I’m sure every ex-Starfighter pilot looks back on their time flying it with a twinkle in their eye.
