End of the Day 1
The rest of the afternoon was spent at the enclosure talking over the sim experience with my brother. Both of us with huge smiles on our faces! The rest of the Aircraft arrived and we had a Eurofighter Typhoon, Belgian F-16 and RAF Chinook display practices. It’s nice to catch the displays before the show day as it gives you more than one chance to photograph it. If you mess it up then you always have the next day to get it right.
When all the aircraft are in their positions, we are then escorted by the RAF personnel that are looking after us along the static display. This is another great feature of the weekend, given the chance to view the static aircraft before the huge crowds arrive in the morning. With the setting sun this also gives you an opportunity to see the aircraft in different light.
After the Ramp tour it’s time to pack our things up and head home/hotel/pub whatever your destination will be. After being up and about since 4.30 am, I think I should probably catch up on some sleep before another busy day tomorrow!
