Weapons and Gear
As I mentioned earlier, you start off with just a few weapons to select, along with some armor, and clothing. But as you unlock more stuff you can open up a whole wide selection of items.
At quick glance you can have about 40 plus different weapons once unlocked. These all fit into 6 categories:
- Submachine Guns: MP5, Mac11, P90
- Assault Rifles: AK-47, Aug A3, and G36
- Light Machine Guns: M249 SAW, MG36, and MK46
- Shotguns: 500 Tactical, M3, and SPAS12
- Sniper Rifles: M40A1, PSG1, SV-98
- Pistols: 92FS, Desert Eagle, Raging Bull
You also have about 50 pieces of armor to equip yourself with once they are unlocked. The armor can be heavy, medium, or light. And of course your mobility is affected with the more heavy armor used. Armor is broken down into 4 categories: body, shoulders, arms and legs.
You also have a bunch of clothing and headgear to unlock. All in different patterns and colors. Some of them are pretty stupid looking and in my opinion ruin the feel of the game. An assault team in all pink tactical gear… funny, but takes away from the realism.
You also have some neat gear to use both in SP and MP, but not always. You have night vision goggles, along with infrared goggles. You have grenades, smoke, and flash bangs along with C4 explosives and a snake cam. In multiplayer games you can have a heartbeat sensor, a heartbeat jammer and some other oddball devices and toys.
