Corvette
Sweet car! Nice car! With
that American rumbling, snarling engine sound that is as
distinctive as is the roaring of the Ferraris. The Corvette
is very nice to drive as it understeers slightly, but yet
it is precise and well-mannered.

Saleen
The Saleen was a positive
surprise, I'd expected it to be very understeery and hard
to get round corners, but it's quite the opposite. It seems
well balanced, nicely mannered. And of course it looks very
good too!

Porsche GT3
The Porsches are numerous
in their GT2 and GT3 specifications. As is the case for
all the cars, you get the choice of which team to race with.
Rear-engined, rear wheel-drive, lots of horsepower and mash
the gas on corner exit and you're history. Right?
Wrong!?!
Perhaps it's because the supplied setups are beginner-friendly?
The brake balances seem to be too far forward. Perhaps I
need to adjust the sensitivity slider for the throttle?
Initially I had a hard time initiating a power-slides in
the Porsches, the cars that are famous for it's tail-happiness,
once you go too hot into a corner and lift off. They behave
like there is a turbo lag; below a certain number of rpm's
they are very docile, but when the rpm's pick up, suddenly
the car starts to become a beast.
The Porsche GT2 is turbocharged! That would explain the
delayed reaction to the throttle.
The GT3 seems to be well-mannered as long as you show it
the respect it deserves.
After reading a few posts regarding setups on RaceSimCentral,
I experimented with softer, more oversteery or neutral handling
setups.
Generally the default setups seem to be too stiff and too
understeery. Try lowering the front anti-roll bar to approximately
"100", decrease the tire pressure... especially
at the rear (that will also help reduce that feeling of
driving on four balloons), and perhaps fit slightly softer
springs at the rear as well.
