netKar PRO

Background
A few
years ago an "indie" developer took quite a few
of the hard-core racers community by storm. Stefano "kunos"
Casillo released the latest "Namie" version of
his netKar simulation. Programmed by himself in his spare
time and offered as a free download, it was the culmination
of a series of releases which had seen the beginning of the
netKar "phenomenon".
Characterized
by being of near-professional quality, and boasting exceptionally
good physics; they measure up even today, "Namie"
had good graphics, solid multiplayer, and a quite wide selection
of cars, among these the Mini, Ferrari 360, Ferrari 275, Pagani
Zonda, Formula Renault and F3000.
With
it's no-nonsense "this is a simulator" approach,
netKar won the hearts of many, and a very dedicated community
is still active organizing race events, and looking forward
to the soon to be released netKar PRO.
There
is still time for you to try out netKar "Namie"
and tear up some of the 20 + add-on tracks either in "track
day" or in multiplayer mode. Just go the "nKZone".
netKar PRO
netKar
PRO we gather will carry forward the fine legacy of netKar
and take it even further. It will bring new graphics, new
physics, new multiplayer, and new features.
New features
include "clickable" cockpits and visual wear on
tires, and we would be surprised if the innovation stopped
there.
"netKar PRO is a new
kind of professional racing simulator: it is a great evolution
of the freeware "netKar", released on the Internet
in 2002 and downloaded more than 200,000 times all over
the world.
Our aim is to create a new concept
in the world of motorsport simulation. netKar PRO has been
conceived to appeal to professional drivers and to the sim-racing
community. The software package will be released by Internet
within the end of this year.
