One of the idiosyncrasies of Richard Burns Rally for the PC was and is the console-centric navigation. In most menus the need to use the arrow-and enter keys is not a big problem, but in the set-up menus navigation by mouse is sorely missed.

Mods for RBR

So far, we have seen new cars but not really full-blown mods as in total conversion. The closest yet is the GTE mod which features new menus, new textures, new intro and more. A WRC 2002 mod has been announced for release in the not too distant future.

New stages are not yet available, but I would suspect this is just a matter of time. Modders have been playing with altering textures and moving around objects, learning as they go along. In any case I'm not yet proficient on the existing stages so I can wait a little longer.

Some mods that enhance the sound and give you more variation in terms of letting each car sound slightly different are also available. One of them is hdi's sound mod.
