Forza Motorsport 3
by Chuck "Magnum" Ankenbauer

Introduction
After many virtual races with Forza Motorsport 2 on the Xbox 360 with the usual SimHQ members, I was more than excited when Forza Motorsport 3 was announced. When I went to my first E3 Expo this past year and saw not just the game being presented but the race chair, the 3 screens, and the surround sound set-up they had to showcase FM3, I knew this was going to be a big.
Forza Motorsport 3 is a lot like Forza Motorsport 2, just much more. With over 400 cars included with a new cockpit view for each, over 100 tracks including venues for oval and drag racing, there is no better way to explain Forza Motorsport 3 than… bigger, better, badder.
The Good, and Not So Good
Besides the cockpit view for each of the cars, the graphics and sounds are sharper, clearer, and just incredible. Crashes and feel-of-the-road are more realistic in sights, sounds, and feeling. Forza Motorsport 2 was a terrific console racing game, and Forza Motorsport 3 ups every aspect of the game.
One of the best new features is the presentation. This is true for the career calendar as well as for racing events. The ability to share and buy your work along with other players' car paint and design shop work is a nice feature as well.
Take a look at the various updated menus in the screenshow here.
The ability to take screenshots was in Forza Motorsport 2, but it returns in Forza Motorsport 3 with a better replay system and more cameras. Additionally, for the first time a console racer gives the player the ability to capture screens and video clips up to 30 seconds, save them, then upload them to the Forza Motorsport web site.
Each player has their own “storefront” where you will find all your stats, art, skins, graphics, screens, and video clips.
