If you ask me, January’s got it all mixed up. How am I supposed to get a jump start on these New Year’s resolutions when Vegas wants to drop the temps below freezing and put down three inches of snow? Well this week I got to leave my parka in the closet and let this year’s hottest gadgets warm me up as I walked the floors at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES)… and walking is exercise, right?
There were many vendors on display and too much to see in 4 days. I believe it’s impossible to see everything in that allotted time frame, but I made an effort to see several gaming hardware booths.
Two items for sim fans were especially on my radar to check at CES 2011 — the newThrustmaster T500 RS racing wheel and pedals and the new Saitek Pro Flight Combat rudder pedals. While at the Saitek display, I also got a chance to try out the Saitek ProFlight Panels, Yoke System, Throttle Quadrant, and TPM.
Below are some of the sights from this year’s show.
