Special thanks to sfc.itzhak for the VBS2 mission, using the recently released Germany map for both ArmA and VBS2. This map can be used for both ArmA and VBS2, but this mission is based on VBS2, therefore certain features and add-on's are NOT available in ArmA.
(Consider that my disclaimer. lol)

Red Storm Rising... great, very detailed mission, and true to the form that your just part of the overall battle... not much tactics in this mission, since you simply defend your position from the hordes of the Red Army. But still, a cool and different type of mission for a change.

First Contact:

My fighting positions, didn't know VBS2 had those add-on's/builds:

Tactical retreat to fall back fighting positions:

A10's come overhead for ground support:

The AI can't drive into fighting positions, so you will have to do it:

One of my MBT's didn't make the tactical retreat:

Game On, Open Fire:

Enemy tanks burn in the distance:

In the gunner position, you have to laze the target (F key) and the main gun will adjust:

My boys seem to have bailed before the explosion:

Another MBT in hulldown position, while infantry move in to support:

The apaches seem to take just one hit from even small arms, and drop all there fuel, and usually crash land, (a bug BIA?):

Advancing using bounding overwatch:

New targets:

I run over enemy infantry, save tax payers the cost of a bullet:

Apache down:

A pair of F/A-18's arrive on station for CAS duty:

My men, I'm so proud:

Couple of more straggle units to destroy:

SABOT about to hit it's mark:

HIT:

I don't want to know:

I almost feel bad about this, almost:

Moving up:

Infantry sweep in to clean up:

The last few resistors:

Heading home, let the infantry clean up this mess:

Great mission design, very detailed and busy...even his map overlay:

Thanks again to BIA, mission and map makers.
