…and launch my second AMRAAM at about 4 miles. |

As soon as I launch the radar contact symbol flashes red indicating a missile is in the air at him, preventing me from targeting him twice on accident. |

Again the AMRAAM is launched well within the “no-escape” zone… |

…and the MiG has no chance to evade. |
I launch a third missile at a fleeing MiG and get a hit, but only damage him.
