For this flight we’ll be using the cargo version of the PC-12. The external model of the Flight1 PC-12 is simply incredible. The attention to detail and the artwork are top notch. Both the main entry stair and the aft cargo loading door are nicely animated, just remember to set the parking brake or they won’t open!
It would have been nice if Flight1 could have included the option of a cargo load-out screen for the cargo version of the PC-12, instead you have to just use the default passenger version to set the weights.
For our 2 hour and 30 minute, 596 nautical mile flight to Ketchikan we will be taking full fuel and our route will take us direct to Vancouver VOR (YVR), direct to Annette Island VOR (ANN), then direct to the destination Ketchikan (PAKT). Our cruise flight level today will be FL240.
Entering the cockpit we can see the aircraft in the “cold & dark” configuration, with the battery off and all of the displays dead. The PC-12 has a nice, modern cockpit configuration with an emphasis on clean lines and single-pilot operation.
