For the new Falcon 4 pilots that have graduated from training and wish to take some baby steps into the daunting campaign interface, the Tactical Engagement module is an excellent tool. F4:AF ships with several ready made TEs that will allow you to get your feet wet against the enemy in a mini-campaign environment. The TEs are set up so that either a time limit or point limit will end the scenario. One TE is an airfield vs. airfield scenario where you must destroy the enemy airbase while protecting yours. Points are awarded for the destruction of airfield components and when the limit is hit the game is over. This is a great way to fly some immersive missions without all the huge battlefield concerns of a full blown campaign. In this example I flew against Koksan Airbase in the strike role. Alternatively, I could have flown a CAP flight and allowed the AI to strike the base while I defended my own airfield.

Blasting off out of Osan, South Korea you can see the terrain and textures are brighter than the Balkans theater.

An F-15E awaits his turn for takeoff while the air defense battery opens up on incoming enemy strikers. This TE is basically a capture the flag game in which speed and strategy win the battle.

The F4:AF E-3 AWACS model is very good. It is definitely a step up from the old AWACS model. New F4 pilots should spend a lot of time getting familiar with what the AWACS radio commands can do for you. The AWACS is essential to maintaining good situational awareness.
