The external 3D model is, of course, fantastic. Panning and zooming around the aircraft it is readily apparent that a lot of research and talent went into the building of these aircraft. Some of the aircraft, such as the P-51, might actually be a bit too clean though. Just as “Hornit” mentioned in his earlier review of the Wings of Power P-47 and FW-190, I feel that some of the airframes could us a tad bit more “dirtying up”.
Switches, buttons and levers within the VC are functional, allowing you to go through the proper steps to start up the engine and setup for flight. I found the P-51 to be one of the most difficult aircraft to control during the initial power application. Constant attention to the rudder to counter the effects of these super-high horsepower engines (torque, P-factor, etc.) is necessary. The foldout sheets give tips and advice on how best to approach these high performance machines.
