In addition to the exceptional performance of the “Zero”, I instantly fell in love with the clean and orderly layout of the cockpit; everything seems to be placed in just the right spot. One gets the feeling that the engineers built the airplane around the requirements and that everything was thought of prior to production. With some of the American and European planes you get a sense that they just started plopping instruments and controls in wherever they could cram space.
