Probably one of the biggest hits with the community (and me) is the inclusion of the Grumman G-21A Goose. Anyone old enough to remember Tales of the Gold Monkey will be clamoring to get into this aircraft. The VC is simply a work of art. I kept panning over to look for Jack (the dog) but despite FSX promising animals in this build he was nowhere to be found (there are animals out there though). The 2D pit is equally well made, but some aircraft just have to be flown from the VC (I’m slowly being converted I realize). With retractable wheels the Goose is a fantastic “go-anywhere” aircraft, although it doesn’t go anywhere very fast. It is perfect for those backwoods holes and lazy rivers. She looks right at home down in the Amazon. At low taxi speeds in the water the Goose gets a bit quirky, but as long as she is level and you are gentle on the rudders she behaves. I know I already mentioned it, but it bears repeating, the water reflections in this sim are superb. I’m not crazy-nuts about the water sheen on pavement though; it’s slightly overdone, appearing a bit like wet marble instead of a porous surface.
