The search function is set for retreival up to 10 years. Some of you have had problems with it and we are investigating. Others have had no issues at all.
Back on the subject of Calendars, members are now allowed to create new events that may be of interest to the community, including LAN meets, racing events, co-op flying, land & armor combat meets, whatever. In addition, there’s a public and private calendar feature.
I could go on and on, but to be honest, I don’t think I’ve grasped all the neat stuff there is in here. I know I saw some other features somewhere, like UBB buddies or some such, but right now I can’t find them, there’s so many ways to get from “here” to “there”, and back again.
History Lesson
We thought you might like to see the evolution and progression of our boards over the years, and so we put together this little list. Starting with 1999, through today. Pretty amazing. Hey, we had a WCE Forum in 2002! Wonder whatever happened to that…?
Here are the SimHQ Forums in jpg format. No images exist for the 1997 and 1998 message boards.

Conclusion
Folks, I hope you appreciate what we’ve done here. Please understand, it HAD to be done, there was no option. This was not something that we decided to spend the sites money on just for the heck of it. I have said this throughout various posts in the forums, but our old software was stretched to the limit, like an old rubber band about to pop. And it would have, not if, but when. This has been in the works for quite a while, and we finally made it happen.
We hope you like the new look, and please take a few moments of your time to explore the features I have outlined above. I have no doubt many of you will find “gold nuggets” in them their hills. Please let us know when you do by posting in the Feedback Forum.
Most of all, thanks as always for being a part of SimHQ.
We want your Feedback. Please let us know what you thought of this article here.
