Don’t make the mistake of buying the NON-PMA Cessna Headrest Assemblies being sold on or Etsy. On the non-conforming headrest assemblies you will notice the head plate is higher than the tube. This is not compliant with OEM design. The headplate should be flush with the top of the tube otherwise it will cut through the padding then the upholstery. The sharp edge at the top also negates safety if an accident occurs.

TO OUR KNOWLEDGE, the AFFORDABLE-AVIATION.com Headrest Assemblies are the only FAA/PMA approved headrests that use an aluminum head plate. We know of only one other approved manufacturer, however their head plate is plastic and sells for a lot more than ours.

There are three reasons why you cannot find a serviceable Cessna headrest on line.

1. OEM Head plates were made of plastic and failed over time (see last two pictures)

2. Headrests were an option item for many years

3. The OEM headrest is rarely available online. It has been my experience if you do find them they are broken internally.
