The card is a 256 meg model running the latest drivers. I find running 1024x768 and maxing out the ATi settings more beneficial than running higher resolutions.

Glad you like the effects. As far as ENB tweaks, the author's read-me (included) might give some insights you could try out. Trial and error is how I found mine.

I have noticed that Promised Land and other terrains are sometimes quite frame-intensive as well. Perhaps try different mods?

There is a frame rate drop due to the wrapper processing the effects so I would not recommend it for the precise timing against human opponents. In my experience, they are too unpredictable to lose any frame rates when dealing with them.
