I can't help but think the Otto green would look a little better in Kazan grey!
Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty. This is known as "bad luck.” -Robert Heinlein

Finished the Kazan run in 1765, after embracing industrialization, the final institution. All in all a pretty good run and I reckon one of the three biggest nations I've ever had, in terms of size, not development. But even as big as this is, it's still just around 400 provinces. There's an achievement for owning 1001, and when I see this and realize it is only a fraction of that total, it shows I'll never get that one lol.
One very interesting thing is Austria dismantled the HRE while emperor and formed Germany! I don't think I have ever seen this. Never stops surprising. The AI also formed Egypt in this run (Mamluks) and Bahmanis first formed Deccan and then Marathas. Deccan I have seen, but this might be the first time I have seen Marathas.
I got the three achievements I was shooting for
Tartarstan for owning all Tartar culture provinces Pyramid of Skulls for razing a province of at least 30 dev Turning the Tide for starting as a horde and embracing all institutions
No, now go away or I shall taunt you a second time!

Nice! Love the map! Kazan looks mighty...er...mighty! Otto was busy too I see. Congrats on the achievements!

Why thanks, yes that is a large nation. But look at Wu. Bastages have a two-letter name so get big font like me.
That hardly seems fair!

I know right? Stealing my thunder by having a ridiculously short name. Wu. A lot of thought went in to that, Wusians. They were to be my final target for an even more impressive final screenshot, but allied Ottos just as I was thinking about it, like the computer was reading my mind in real time. And I could have won that war, but I was in no mood for it.

It's like they planned it out that way just to annoy you. I tell you, this AI stuff is getting out of hand!
