I don't think that counts as a "phrase" if it's just one word...

Can someone explain to me the reason why they're charging people for an update? As well; i rather see the product in further-time/development instead of purchasing piece by piece for something that isn't even polished post-release of original (I love ArmA...but goddamnit)

Yeah; if there was a way to get this for free I would. I am a tad bitter about this since the game should have been polished. Kind of a pain in the ass when being loyal to a game that should have support at all times...especially being that it is heavily modifiable.

Well, call me a sucker, because I bought it. And, well.. I feel like a sucker.
The dialog in the campaign is weak, contrived and forced. You might even label it as juvenile. Like what you'd hear a pack of teenagers talking about on their way to a party.
As for the new island, you can hardly call it an island. Porto is extremely small, and while the urban port on the island is kind of nice (as is the very tall tower in the center of town) its just... small.
United Sahrani, from what I can tell, is hardly different from the original island map. The wall in Corazol is down, but other than that I could hardly find any real differences while flying around. The posters of the communist dicatator were still around, for the most part.
The mercs used in the campaign are just.. lame. Their names, their look, everything just feels over the top, and forced.
I tried the new multiplayer mission, Urban Raid. It has promise, and some countdown clock code I intend on stealing for my own missions, but its really nothing special.
So, my initial view on Queen's Gambit.. poor...very poor.

The BIS devs were browsing militaryphotos(Dot)net a little too much it seems. Superhero Private contractors mixed with childish dreams of playing soldier...Kinda lame if you ask me.
The new urban terrain sounds promising but I think ArmA (original?...lol) does enough justice for that, maybe just a patch would do me right.
Other than that, I feel sorry for you Wepps. Although, you did save us the hassle, and for me, my money!
Thank you for the heads-up indicator.
If possible, can you take some Screens from in-game of the new city-scapes and whatever it is that is so 'different' ...I want to coax at it and then post a vehement comment on the BIS forum. haha

Oh, also there was no new patch with this release. I thought I had read that this release would have a new patch.

It's called game coding in 3rd world country's,you can tell by how large the patches are(huge),It's another way of getting $20 extra dollars out of us.My favorite one is the kid w/the baseball cap under the the helmet,or the biker (or grateful dead)mec.

Thanks for the report Wepps. It looks like I may be holding off on purchasing this.

This then is the "Red Hammer" for ArmA. Oh well. One less thing to worry about.
Actually, RH had some good missions, although voice acting was miserable.

Is it really that bad?
I think they promised "two storydriven campaigns". Understanding their advertising right that's ten missions in total. I mean Read Hammer had twenty+ missions...
Do I really have to redefine the meaning of "campaign" ????

I don't know, I am biased since its basically modded out by a bunch of other developers. From my pov, the storyline is a hack job, its inconclusive and has a lot of random incidences(From what I read it seems like a joke.) that occur and have no bearing on a true story.
They could have given it a quasi realistic story lines with enough depth and keeping action still primary.
Meh; what do you expect, user missions are usually better anyway. Passing the excuse of 'third world developers' isn't good enough for me....Its just another quick buck.
As for what you said Wepps: Titsabella...sounds funny actually...beautiful tits...the queen...ha
