I fly IL2 1946 in single mode. As of yet not built courage to go online.

I've been adding downloads to game such as Flaming Dunes and The Scourge of God. But I cannot load them in campaign or single flight. Where am I going wrong please? Do I need to upgrade DGen?

I would appreciate some help please.

You can upgrade DGen if you want: download and install EnjoyR's patches for DGen, including the skin patches (use patch version "for no add-ons", if you have no paid add-ons, and all skin patches).

These are supplied with self-installers. You need to install them into your game's main folder.

Regarding the add-ons you mention, they have nothing to do with DGen however. I suppose that they are not DGen campaigns, but static campaigns. Please have a close look at the read-me files, or contact their authors to have detailed instructions for install.

Hey mate,
As Vince says, for those missions you mentioned there is no need todo anything about DGen as they are 'static' missions. Just follow th einstall instructions in them. If they don't have any just copy the >mis and .prop files into the following path:
HARD DRIVE>Program Files>IL-2 Sturmovik 1946>Missions>Single Missions>NATIONALITY (e.g "GB" for Britain).
I checked and the site you got them from and they are only single missions, not campaigns. They sound good though, especailly that Scourge of God one so I downloaded it myself.

If you want some easy to install non-DGen campaigns (I have nothing agaisnt DGen, just these ones don't use it) may I immodestly point you in the direction of my own campaigns:
http://mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads&file=search&sa=104
Just Explore the zip folder, find the readme and folow the instructions.

You already have DGen. It is the 'dynamic campaign generator' that comes with the game. Most of the campaigns that come with 1946 are DGen based.

Installing Enjoyr's patches will add dozens if not hundreds of new dynamic campaigns, all written by fans within the community. The latest version of the patches will even update your DGen.exe program so that you can now theoretically use almost any plane in a DGen campaign. This is exciting mostly because it gives mission authors more flexibiltiy with DGen for future updates but you can also edit existing campaigns yourself and add in more planes if you know how.

Remove before flight

vtrelut, FlatSpinMan and Skycat, many thanks for your advice. FlatSpinMan, I have had a look at your campaigns - I am downloading now. Many thanks.
