I love the new content and the details in the new mods for AC. But, I just can't do it anymore. You jump through all the hoops for CM and graphic presets and this and that and the other. Then you have variable FFB from one mod group to the next. Then the AI issues for the first lap or two. I got to the point I was just it's bloated body to make screenshots so I uninstalled it for a while. It may come back or I may wait for the new one.
I completely agree Dave. I’m utterly confused by all the acronyms. SOL, Pure, CSP. I know what most of them are meant to do and what the abbreviations mean but I’ve given up after realizing that some addons have no problems with my CSP while others return an error message telling me to install CSP. Some mods even work with half the cars while the other half crashes the sim.
I have no time nor wish to hunt down and correct every little error, mismatch or whatever is the problem so the sim is for collecting cars and tracks that work and enjoying ontent that is rarely available in any other sim.
I’m really hoping the sequel will establish a common ground and framework so the functionality of all these mods will be built into ACE.

Personally I only have CM with CSP and SOL, CSP already comes with you´re Install of CM so there´s really no messing In that sense. But yeah CM/CSP offers a lot of customization and at first can be overwhelming. With theses newer F1 and Hyper cars It adds another layer to what CM/CSP can do, but In most cases you get two versions of the same mod, a "normal" version and a CSP version of you´re purchase. IIRC the VRC Alpha 2023 comes with two versions.
I really don´t mess with CM to much unless I add a new app that uses Python on CM/CSP which then you have to activate, and I´ll tweak some AI or FFB here and there, but the truth Is you will be doing that on any racing sim anyway. That "plug & Play" philosophy Is kind of washed out now, people want even more options I am afraid, but then you also have one sector of the community that wants things on the easier side as fire it up and go. The thing Is that true sims have always been complicated and user input dependent I am afraid. As they say, It´s the nature of the beast, otherwise It wouldn´t be a simulator.
I also need that extra push now to do these things, but I am the type of person that needs to keep his mind busy on something every day. Call me a "nerd" since I was a kid, but with a Black Sabbath T-shirt on LOL. But yeah, I get It and to some extent for now I agree!

Here´s another great mod from RSS, this Is one of my favs...
Has some extra functions, but not to much. If you ask me, CM/CSP Is God sent In some cases If you compare it to say SimHub, or other sims were you have to dig Into the core options settings. With CM/CSP you can do it on the fly from the comfort of you´re cockpit, so It has It´s pro´s too.

Just thought I would drop this around here In case someone has the same Idea as me, to create you´re own championships since you can´t find what you like.
And more as a user guide...
Cheers

I had recently mistakenly purchased a VRC mod that I already had, and VRC kindly provided me with a cupon code for the same amount. So very happy with VRC´s customer support! I then decided to pick up the ARC Auriel 90 GTO, which Is basically a 1989 (IMSA) Audi 90 Cuattro GTO with my cupon code. With It´s 709bhp for the none BOP version and 600bhp of the BOP version (both Included), this car kind of eclipses the modern GT3´s. A IMSA legend and a true beast of a car. On AC this Is a handful of a car to drive, but In doing so It´s also a lot of fun and challenging. Prepare for a work out and quite an Immersion! Been trying It on Nordschleife and at one point I broke the engine! Awesome fun car, and a true race car of the 80-90¨s.
I have other GT3 that I have not mentioned because there´s plenty of those on other sims. These are just the ones I consider good and that I own. There are plenty of freeware mods out there, I only use a couple of Bazza bundles and really try to not get my garage filled with stuff that I don´t know what It can have. I also like to contribute to quality payware modder´s as they pretty much do a good job In most cases and help keep the modding and community going! All In good will and for all to enjoy. This also keeps AC afloat for the price of some beers on a friday night, or Pepsi If you like
Have fun and share you´re thoughts, races, or findings!
Cheers!
