You usurpate the name of an ace as a Nickname, and you have no time to fly????

Sometimes I can't believe what I read...

I believe the time skip in IL-2 is the way it is because it actually simulates the flight, and everything else, between the waypoints without rendering the graphics.

There is also a new feature in BoB that is activated by pressing F2. It will then timeskip two weeks into the future, which is very useful between missions. In the current alpha version it unfortunately transfers you quite a few months into the future which makes late war missions rather tricky... In some cases, years have passed after pressing F2 so the bug is really nasty.

They are working on it right now...

Yeah, you get older faster, that way too. It happended to me on an other game. I looked at least 10 years older when I woke up. Even if it was only a time skip for 6 months.

Well the onlly way I belive itr to be usefull is how it is now.
How would you sugest it worked? To warp to target and then place there some oposition out of the blue and then warp back to base? If thats so, then a Quick mission builder mission is what you want. Instant combat.

Not criticisng at all, I have a familly and loads of work too. But a mission should develop with all participating asets being simulated at all times, not warping magiclly to a given point.

And if a campaign is going to be dynamic, how do you sugest that thuings happened during the warp speed be acounted for, random?

I belive the Acel. Time way is erfect. All we need is a working Autopilot, so we don't crah during acell time. \:\)

Well, if I remember correctly, RAF were only allowed to fly over Britain and not fly after any Luftwaffe planes heading home. I dont know how much a time skip will help a person if the alarm goes off and you have to take off asap just to gain enough altitude to perform a good attack. I think I would be looking at the SA while my plane is climbing for all shes got.

Of course, if you are tasked to fly a 'on watch' patrol, it may get boring.

Maybe a 'mission save' option while in the flight might be an answer if you dont have time to complete a mission.
