Been working on this project on-and-off ever since the last package I released oh-so-long ago. I sorta need some advice - was wondering if I should go back to the worn and dirty look I always went for before. Since the USAF seems to keep their F-15s in pretty good shape, I'm testing out a different look.

Anyway, it would be awesome if I could get some input. Screens taken with a very underperforming ATI X300 card, no photoshop.

Wow! This is a very nice skin. I think you should keep it this way, I haven't really seen a very worn and dirty look on USAF F-15's.

Looking forward to dowloading them

These clean ones look more realistic indeed. Sure, some flight sims do have overly clean default skins but some of the modders out there are certainly overdoing the weathering.

Hmm, okay. I'll work on it a bit more, but this is what I have so far (small update). Already reduced the blue and added a bit of weathering.

Some more updates. Started working on unit skins, and finishing up the weathering. Just a few touch-ups, and the basic template for dirt and stuff should be complete.

142nd FW, "Redhawks", Oregon

390th FS, "Wild Boars", MO

493rd FS, "Grim Reapers" LN

Paint scheme w/ weathering, WIP

Sorry, images don't look too flattering on a X300.

The weathering in the last picture is perfect. Not too much, not too little.

If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right.

Will these skins be available to download soon?

And if anyone can help a new guy out with the how-to on adding new skins to whatever folder they go into - that would be appreciated greatly - oh and where can one find the best Lomac skins?

Thanks D-scythe

I had already bookmarked it and I had d/l'd the ModMan Loman5 deal - but I could not get it to work properly.

I was able to get the skins and the new textures converted to DCCS? files but could not get them to load into the sim.

I also could not see where to select the new skins for use in the sim...where are the default ones kept so that a total user like me can swap them out for these 3rd party ones?

I have since removed the program and will settle for Lomac as is.
