The hold up is the Su-26, he wants it's flight model to be perfect. Flight models for Spitfires, Hurricanes and 109's is child's play, but the Su-26 requires far more attention. The wait will be worth it! After all, what World War II flight sim would not be complete without a Soviet designed 1980's era aerobatics aircraft?

What WW2 flight-sim would not be complete without an accurate flight model would be And Question Two. Immediately following Question One will there be an immersive offline campaign. Please.
This aerobatics aircraft has had sensors bolted to every aspect of the fuselage over all those years and the bundle of data logged would fill a boxcar along with the gathered mass of wind tunnel data. I imagine. Russian kit needs no defending it's thoroughly robust and professional.
Here's the interesting thing. The aircraft properties in Il-2 can also be datalogged. Real-world instruments can be driven by the sim's output. Oleg may have created pressure gauges and strain gauges and he may be returning a stack of information from (virtual) sensors to the real world like Orpheus
This in turn means that when Oleg creates (has created) the modern aircraft he can compare the data from the live model and the simulated model under atmosphere
Now he tweaks the Su-26 flight model parameters until the two datasets line up.
Once the two datasets are aligned, planes Oleg creates based on this Su-calibrated profile should fly very accurately

After carefull consideration and input from the community regarding the modelling of "moving grass" at the UBI zoo forums....Oleg has come to the conclusion that it may be the only feature worth doing. He is currently looking for "movers" of said grass for the North American market. If successfull he plans to retire. He's also looking forward to reading the combat flight sim forums for his morning amusement. He believes it will more entertaining than it already is.

You know.... there just may be some people who buy the sim just for that SU.
I am looking forward to flying it, heck at this point I am looking forward to ditching a 109e.
"Looks like Jerry's bought it mate".....
"Yeah...no wait....he's climbing out the cockpit!"
"Can I shoot em Sir?"
"Hardly Ogelthorpe...we'll take him prisoner!"
"Can I shoot him then sir?"
"right..."

Look for me on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or Tic Toc...or anywhere you may frequent, besides SimHq, on the Global Scam Net. Aka, the internet. I am not there, never have been or ever will be, but the fruitless search may be more gratifying then the "content" you might otherwise be exposed to.

Latest word is the walk-behind mower is underpowered, the grass catcher dispersion/synchronization is all wrong and the riding mower's ruggedness in no way compares to historical accounts of combat mower drivers. Why is it always the Americans who are complaining that their lawnmowers are not properly modelled in these sims? Oleg is certain to use only the most accurate available performance data.

I've been away for awhile, is Oleg really planning on having us mow the airstrips? I don't know if I like that, it doesn't seem very important (or fun) to me. I would much rather fly airplanes and shoot my enemy down before he shoots me down! It might be fun if we could plant gardens around the airstrip, though. Or have a dog or something.
