I personally don't play GS!, but I recognise that there are fans of it and I see that samovar6 has put a lot of effort into modding it. So, I mention him on my Gunship site, as a sort of recognition thing. No grammy though, sorry! smile

Hi, Flyboy,

Thank you very much.

I'm slightly disappointed that I'll not be receiving some sort of statuette, but a pat on the back is still nice.

Did I sound like I was feeling sorry for myself in my last post, or somethin’? I think that a couple of people might have got that impression.

Never could get the proper hang of smileys, and my sense of humour usually leaves much to be desired. Maybe I’d better do a little editing..

While I’m often prone to deep and lengthy bouts of self-pity for things like excessive ear-hair growth, mucking about with GS is largely a happy pursuit for me.

Thanks again for the kind words-- whatever their motivation.

You should reconsider the Grammy, Flyboy. Samovar can in fact sing like a bird. An old asthmatic, pox-ridden crow, but a bird nonetheless. Quite rousing, with the proper lighting.

And Samovar, don't feel badly about that ear hair. If it isn't long enough to trip over, it's not worth a bugger. That's what my Gran used to say. Died of a broken neck, she did.

Life precludes my playing with GS anymore, but it gladdens my heart that you and the others have taken it so far beyond my stuff. In fact I haven't the slightest idea what you all are talking about, these days. But it all sounds brilliant.

I miss your humor, mate. That and the envelopes of cash you were sending.

Be well.

Flyboy: you are no slouch yourself. Good on you for recognizing talented people. And Samovar, too!

beercheers

Samovar6, Keep doing what you're doing, sir, it is very much appreciated.

I'm a long time flight simmer but brand new to GS! I have indeed enjoyed your contributions, Samovar6!

Thank you.

At the risk of belabouring the awards show metaphor, I'll admit that you people are making me feel a little like Sally Field at the '79 Oscars.

Nice to see you around, fng2k.

That's too bad. I was hoping that at least one of us would.

And I'll have you know that I've been proudly pox-free for over nine weeks now.

No I didn't give you this accolade because you were feeling 'down' or whatever, samovar. I didn't see that side of any posts you posted. I simply did it because you are quite active in this forum and you seem to be one of the only ones who actually mods and keeps modding GS!

I like to give credit where it's due and recognise the work people do. I know what a good feeling I get when people praise me.

At the end of the day, even though I don't actually play GS!, we're all still fans of the same thing: combat helicopters, the Longbow, etc. So it doesn't hurt to look in on the stuff other people do with similar sims.
