Are you saying that autogen will position itself over the existing buildings in photoscenery? If so, that would make life much easier. But that runs contrary to what I understand about it. Autogen is, well, autogen. I believe it selects and positions itself according to FSX's internal mappings. I've noticed that a lot of people use the term "autogen" loosely and actually mean "objects". What I placed into Niihau were individual objects--meticulously hand positioned and oriented. I'd be willing to do a bit of that on Kauai but I'm also trying to keep my timeframes in units of months, not years. smile

yes its a bit of a generic term. You place squares of the type of autogen you want to appear there and fsx populates it.

But as I said only really needed for the towns?

I just flew over to Niihau in my PBY. Terrific. But this...well, this is rediculous. And I mean that in the nicest way!
I have the Oahu and Dillingham payware scenery, and these compare with that very well. They fit in with them perfectly.
Are you thinking of doing The Big Island, too?

I just might try doing that here and there. I'll have to look into it.

My plan is to do all the islands. I started on the western end of the chain (of populated islands) with Niihau so that I could learn what I needed to know on a fairly simple landmass. Kauai is next followed by Maui. From there I'll keep moving east and finish with the Big Island.
