OK guys, I really want to get EEAH and EECH working with all the mods and patches...I try to follow Gotchas instructions, but when I run the game, and try a mission, all I get is like a white screen...almost looks like i'm in the middle of the century's worst dust storm. So what am I doing wrong, and what is causing this? Also, what MUST be changed in the .ini file, I think the readmes and install instructions are unclear on this...is everything created automatically by the .exe files or what?
Sorry to be a pain in the rear, but I would really like to see what this sim looks like with a major face lift...thanks..

Is it worth rolling back to older drivers and risking compatibility problems with other programs?
In other words, what are the real risks involved with installing old drivers?
Sorry...I'm not really that informed when it comes to computer stuff!
Thanks again for all your help guys...

We have no idea why the 70 drivers do not work (or at least I have no idea). Some incompatibility with old directx stuff, although the game is compiled with the last directx library (but that doesn't say much). I wonder if there is not a setting on the graohics card that can be changed (some z-buffering or w-buffering thing or something). I don't think either there would be a problem usually the drivers are released with a note that indicates changes and from what I have seen they repair problems with very specific games (which you could have of course). They also ususally claim improved performance but that is not always the case. I have read a couple of times that the none official drivers work better, these are tweaked by usergroups: omega drivers: http://www.omegadrivers.net/ dna force drivers: http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=1154

My 5900xt displayed white as per Grunt with the 70 series driver loaded but runs fine under the sixty series drivers.

I'm using 77.30 drivers with my 6800 with no problems at all....although if I turn on FSAA I lose my mouse pointer when I'm in the far right side of the mission map (not really a problem though).
Regards..
