Would be real nice to see some 'weathering' on those 109's . I seem to remember Luthier saying he would post some in an update a few weeks ago, apparently he completly forgot about it.

I can't wait. How many years have we been waiting for this now? Still, I can't help but have that "believe it when I see it" mindset.
I refuse to buy a flight sim that I have no interest in playing, on the off chance that MAYBE someday they'll make the one I really want to play.

Where's the Il-2s?  Il-2 Sturmovik is the brand name for the series. You will see IL-2's in the series in the not too distant future.

Also, I second hopes that we get a collectors edition. Having never played any of the silent hunter games, I'd also like to see that pre-order posted soon So I can try out SHIII (FYI in case the above comment doesn't make sense, US pre-orders get a free copy of SH III, not sure if Ubi is doing that for the EU as I can't see that site)

It wasn't to be released in 2006, but it was announced then ie they'd already started working on it. So it took them over 4 yrs to make it, or they said they were working on it when they really weren't yet.
Calling this series Il-2 was obviously a genius Ubi marketing decision right next to putting their underwear on BEFORE their pants.
