Hi

I've been trying multiplay EECH 1.13 in these days, but there is a problem.
My system worked perfectly and was ready to go as a host, but my buddy seemed to have no luck.
Everytime he selected 'Internet TCP/IP', got 'no service provider' again and again.
He tried even re-installing EECH to solve it, but no joy.

Does anybody have seen an error like that before?
Any ideas are welcome.

ps. He has windows XP system and there was no problem with internet connection and teamspeak conversations.

One or both of you has a firewall issue. You both need to forward the DX7 ports through your modem and software firewalls, and the server also needs to let "microsoftdirectplayhelper" pass through the software firewall. Connection problems with EECH are invariably firewall issues.

So, for future reference... what was the mistake?

Maybe he just had a confusion with selecting tcp/ip for connection in eech multiplay options. Nothing to be a reference wink
Kurtz's advise, however, is absolutely available to common multiplay anyway.
