I've tried to assign MFDs to my sub monitor connected to 2nd DVI before and it worked very well.

Then is it also possible to assign those 2 MFDs to 2 different monitors each?
The instruction says both MFD displays should be from 'same display adapter', so I'm guessing 2 monitors connected to same VGA adaptor should work(for example, 2 VGAs on the PC, one main monitor is from primary VGA, and 2 sub monitors for both MFDs are from secondary VGA), but not sure about that.

I have 2 USB interface monitors driven by displaylink adapter and tried to assign MFDs, but EECH was using only one monitor.
I can't get any idea to make both monitors to be recognized together by EECH.
There are parameters for width and height resolutions in EECH.INI file, but any stretched resolutions filled cause crashes.

Is there anybody who successfully assigned each MFDs to each monitors?

horus - I cannot speak to the crashes caused by re-sizing, or the use of USB diplays. confused

My 2 10" LCD VGA monitors are connected to a single dual-head card set in span mode, on a 2nd PC. Then using MaxiVista, the data is sent over network as a single display. (with the single monitor size to equal the combined spanned resolution). Then it's just a matter of changing the .ini position values, to get each MFD to display on their respective screen, where you want them.

I do think adding a 2nd dual-head card to you main PC would work but running all 3 displays on the same CPU would probably have a big hit to performance.

Thanks for the reply!

Through some additional tests, it's almost clear now that my recent set-up can't assign both MFDs to 2 usb displays.
There isn't any way to span those two USB displays as one big display (is there....?).
I'll test another way, dualhead vga + spanned rgb displays soon.

I'm also interested in your choice, the maxivista. I've heard that app before but no experiences yet.
Could you share your instructions please?

There is nothing custom to it. Just follow the MaxiVista instructions for setting it up.
They offer a free demo, too. It only allows one monitor (I think) but it does allow you to try it out and make sure that it will work for you.

Hi Horus,

I seem to remember some time back talk of USB monitors not working when exporting MFDs to them. I can't remember why and it may not be a problem now. Maybe one of the other guys could elaborate .....

If you look at your screen settings in windows, does it show the two USB monitors as seperate screens ?

Only problem I've ever had with MFD export was when I set the ini to export to screen 0 when it should have been 1.

Cheers,

Andy

Thanks, I got it.
Not only for EECH, MaxiVista seems to be a handy tool for other works also. I'll try it any day.

Thanks for the reply!

Yes, they are separated, and that was the problem. They can't be combined as one big monitor.
Finally I gave up these USB things and am trying to set up 2nd VGA + 2 RGB monitors now. Wish me luck!

Finally it's done!
It works on secondary VGA + 2 RGB monitors + WinXP set-up.

Very cool! thumbsup

Now you just need to map the buttons around the TM bezels, to the different MFD pages and functions, so you don't have to use the KB to switch them.
