Hi Guys, Im a long time simmer whos been floating the forums for longer than I can remember, Just changed my name from Cowboy10uk smile Now Ive been looking at Steel Beasts Pro for quite a while, however Im sure you guys will understand the price is off putting. Now please dont get me wrong im not here to want or complain about that. Im sure its worth it and from what everyone seems to be saying, noone has regrets about purchasing the sim. However for myself I normally use Flight Sims or Sub Sims which I do enjoy, But I have Never used or owned a Armour Sim. So to be honest I have no idea how I will get on with this sim, as its a new direction for me.

As such Im sure you understand im kinda put off by the thought of Gambling with $125 which if I dont get on with the sim or it dosnt run well on my PC then I will have just thrown that money away.

I was wondering if you guys have ever considered a Trial License, Say for $20 that would give you access for a week or two, so those of us who are not sure about the sim, could see if its worth shelling out the whole $125. Im sure that if its as good as you and everyone else says it is then most people would upgrade to the full version. I do appriciate that the public market are not your main customers, But it may attract a few more sales for you.

I know I can watch vids on You tube, But with all due respect, I have seen many many Videos of Games and Sims that look stunning, however when you come to run them at home after purchasing then, you end up rather Disappointed.

Please dont think Im trying to get a freebe go or anything like that, But just trying to throw an idea you may consider on the mat, and one That may attract other simmers to have a closer look at what you guys have to offer.

There are a few of us who hang out in the SimHQ's Steel Beasts Teamspeak channel if you need help getting up to speed once you DL the game.....

You can try the same over at SteelBeasts.com's TS server. If you see nobody around there, sit in the Scenario Design Help channel and often the Beta folks will come up to help you.

I would recommend the steel beasts . com teamspeak server, if you need help getting started. The dudes over there are pretty smart and quite helpful. Multiplayer games are where the most fun is to be had in my opinion. Make sure you give that a try. Its usually very easy to get a game going on the SB teamspeak server and there is a regularly scheduled head to head game on friday nights US time and they have just restarted the mid week coop games on Wed night US time.

I just purchased the game this afternoon after finally caving....the price was finally right (for me anyways) smile

After reading the review here on SimHQ as well as Armchair General and looking through the mods and scenarios at steelbeasts.com I am more than a little anxious to get started.

Does anyone have a trial license that I can use until my dongle arrives?? 2-4 days USPS if I am lucky!

Well, be on teamspeak at the SB:com TS server.
I'll be there probably around 1900Z...I'll be able to host a trial licence.

If you're a yank ;-) , I'll ask some of the US guys to help you. (So you can start at more convenient times)
