Wishing I was in the La Cloche
This nifty little image turned up so I thought I'd post it for others to enjoy.
Now that we have pistols, who wouldn't love to see the Sopwith Scout (aka Tabloid) and Taube going at each other some day in RoF!
Won't hold my breath though WinkNGrin I do wonder what's in store for this year...

Could not find the reference listed online, but will try to track it down...

Love the look of those early planes. Maybe we could wish for a Morane Type L too!

There is fun to be had in 1915. Once Red Baron was modified for flyable two seaters and working rear gunners it was a blast to go out in an Aviatik and try to take down opposing two seaters.

Still I think this is the most fun period, it is all about tactics like playing chess, get the right position without falling to the earth.

It was described by a pilot as something like slow motion ballet. Sometimes it does feel like that wouldn't you agree?

However much we may yearn for the early war, I would still vote that we round out the mid-war period, 1916 to early 1917 era, rather than divide resources. So many excellent and interesting buses and crates from that era, and we especially need long-legged Central and Entente two-seaters that can fly into the late war.

Sopwith 1-1/2 strutter, or BE2c/BE2e (Some 3,500 B.E.2s were built, although the B.E.2e was certainly the most numerous)

Albatros C.VII, or Roland 'Whalefisch' CII (not many built, but whoa! What a beautiful aircraft!!! It would sell thumbsup )

IMHO, these are righteous choices, but why not open the floor and state your opinion...

SPAD VII early last fall, so I see your point, perhaps we are overdue for a fighter. I'm sure they sell best of all...
In that case Halberstadt DII? Very vocal campaign for that crate over at official forum...

But you know, the Roland CII was actually one of the first multi-role 2-seater aircraft, capable of dogfighting with the scouts of the time cool

EDIT: Can't help it, I'm biased...
