Alien Screening in Cinemas for 45th Anniversary!

The last time we had a wide re-release of the original Alien in cinemas was 2017, where a special Alien Day screening was paired with preview footage for the then upcoming Alien: Covenant. Now with Alien: Romulus on the horizon, 20th Century Studios has announced on social media that the original Alien will once again be returning to theaters for Alien Day and the film’s 45th Anniversary.

Currently confirmed cinemas in the US are AMC, Cinemark, and Regal. We don’t have concrete details if this screening is also planned for the UK, so we’ll keep you posted.

The re-release comes ahead an upcoming “Alien” TV series from “Fargo” and “Legion” creator Noah Hawley,

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13623632/

and this Summer’s Fede Alvarez-directed film “Alien: Romulus” which unfolds between the events of “Alien” and “Aliens”.

Just watch it on 4k. It will look even better than it will on a movie theater screen.

Can confirm it looks stunning on Ultra 4K

I don't have 4K. I will be very happy to see it on a cinema big screen.

I'm surprised considering with how much tv you watch.

Depending on your streaming service and internet provider a 4k TV might not make much difference anyways.

These drop on Netflix today.

I might watch them. Don't cost any $ to watch them and probably better than anything on American TV

When you say "American TV" are you referring to just the major broadcast networks and cable networks? I ask because there are a ton of great US produced series on streaming.

Zero interest. I'm good with just the first 2 films.

You are a bit late but thank you RedOne.

Him again? His recent movies:

The Visit, Glass, Old, Split, Knock At the Cabin, After Earth, they were all terrible.

His last good movie was Devil in 2010.

The only good thing he has made in recent years is the Apple TV+ series Servant.

The problem with M Night Shyamalan is that he's a "one trick pony" director. His "big shocking plot twist reveal" tactic ran out of gas after "Signs" in my opinion.

He insists on $hit posting. I've had him on ignore for ages, I suggest everyone does the same.
