This is a bomb release pylon for the Cessna A 37Dragonfly. It was a Vietnam light attacksmall bomber. I first have to say that I am in no way an expert on this planeand acquired this from an aviation repair shop that was going out ofbusiness. In looking at pictures of theplane it appears there were 4 of these pylons per wing. When you have a partfrom a bomber why not have the part that dropped the bombs. I suspect it works fine but all I need tocheck it out is 1. A bomb and 2. an A37 plane other than that checking itshould be easy.
