Red Baron 3D: Full Canvas Jacket

Graphics
Probably
the biggest thing you will notice in the game is the updated
graphics for RB3D. Kess (Kents nickname on the SimHQ
Forums) had done an admirable job incorporating new terrain,
aircraft, and objects into the game. Aircraft models have
a more crisp, much more realistic look to them, the terrain
looks much better at altitude and ground objects do appear
to look much better. In fact, comparing to some old screenshots
of RB3D it almost appears to be a completely new game graphically.
Now if you compare the game to something like IL2:FB you may
be disappointed but for a game that has been on the shelf
since 1997 the visuals are top notch. I can describe it but
there are quite a few screenshots below that explain it better
than I can.
Right
now there isnt a better looking WW1 flight simulation
on the market, with maybe the exception of IENs Dawn
of Aces III, an online only game. This game looks fantastic
in screenshots but is online only so it isnt for everyone.
There are other games on the horizon but they are at least
6 months to a year away so if you want to duke it out FCJ
is among the best upgrades you can get for Red Baron 3D.
