Q: What will be the main changes to flight models?
A: I can’t tell you all technical changes. I would say that you will not need to change your experience in general. Just in details. But it doesn’t means that the code will be the same.
Q: Will we have puffs of black smoke when a plane goes to full throttle?
A: No problem, but it isn’t realistic for each aircraft.
Q: Is the wind direction in BoB always the same? Is there wind at altitude?
A: There will be various winds during the flight time. Even more than you may imagine.
Q: Can we have signal flares at airfields and on aircraft? For recognition, clear to take off, do not land, etc.
Q: In what ways will the Messerschmitt E-3 outperform the Spitfire?
A: In B&Z tactic and in experience of German pilots in the beginning of Battle.
Q: Fuel management was critical in the real BoB, esp. for the Messerschmitt 109 over England. How will you reflect that in the Sim?
A: If you mean low amount in fuel tanks for German side – yes it will affect. Small real time for the battle, then should go home.
Q: Will AI aircraft use the same physics as the human aircraft, including overheating, etc?
A: Yes, but I don’t think that AI will do overheating by mistake. Same in FB-PF. Flyable aircraft under control of AI are with the same code as flyable by a human. But they are more “experienced” in terms of human-player mistakes.
Q: Will pilot stamina be an issue? Will pilots be able to pull maximum force after a long fight or after 1 hour in freezing cold?
A: I would like to know how to do it that to make it realistically looking but not like we do it now in PF for the wounded player-pilots.
Q: As the British microphone was in the oxygen mask (no throat mike), will RAF planes show the mask on at low level too?
Q: Will gun jams (and unjamming systems on some planes) be modeled?
Q: Will there be an option to have random malfunctions on your plane/on AI planes?
Q: Is it possible to model random small difference in player plane quality? Is it possible to earn a slightly better plane as one progresses in rank?
A: When you will be able to see DVD-Video bonus disk with the Il-2 Sturmovik 1946 – you will get the answer (even probably more answers).
Q: Will there be shared kills?
Q: Will night operations be realistically modeled?
A: With Arcade settings?
Q: Will there (in BoB or later in the series) be on-board radar, jammers etc?
A: In the series – possibly. But not in BoB. In BoB we plan just one AI-only aircraft equipped with night radar.
Q: Will bridges be damaged more realistically? (Tougher targets)
Q: Will there be more realistic bombing options? Salvo, Single, Interval, etc?
Q: Torpedoes: possibility of duds and failure to detonate when released too high and too fast?
