Graphics and Sound

The graphics are in fact beautiful, especially the landscape and units. They serve their purpose very well, but shadows and tank tracks are absent. More could be done to make it perfect even though graphics really aren’t the purpose of the simulation.

The Office

Covering the Roadway

Searching

Many, many talented skinners are releasing fantastic skins for most of the vehicle. So modding support is in full gear. One thing that really needs to be addressed graphically are the troop animations. They are sprites when everything else appears fully 3D.

Infantry

The sounds are incredible. The explosions and the firing of the platforms are nicely done. They seem realistic to where light travels faster then sound so when you watch a tank fire, you’ll see the white smoke from the gun, the dust from the blast, then a second or two later you’ll hear the sound. You can also stop your tank in the woods, turn off the engine, and with good headphones or speakers, hear the sounds of enemy trucks and/or tracks. Pinpointing vehicle location by sound is very impressive.
