I’ll leave it to you to discover how CWO Novosel earns the Medal of Honor. While the mission that CWO Novosel flew that earned him the Medal of Honor is singled out for recognition, it in no way diminishes the heroic efforts required of his other missions during his two tours in Vietnam. During those tours he flew 2,543 missions and pulled out 5,589 wounded soldiers. To say CWO Novosel is a hero is a vast understatement in a society where Hollywood stars and sports figures are often cited as being heroes. CWO Novosel, and the literally hundreds of thousands of troops that served and fought in Vietnam deserve our highest praise and recognition.
