My buddies the Eagles respond in kind and the fight is really on.
It’s getting hard to keep track of all this action. In the simulation, I’m out of the cockpit, going from aircraft to aircraft on both sides more than I’m in the cockpit. Lots of views, panning around, zooming in and out, taking screenshots. I become a trifle concerned with a CTD. My old build of Falcon 4 would have puked long before this. I also am a little worried I’ll become fixated with the external action and plow a hole in a hill.
That Fury1 flight is just all over the place. I hear them calling out targets and firing over and over again. This time, it’s an air to air kill and one of the Foxbats goes down.
The MiG-29’s are still in the air and dangerous as heck, but one of them takes an Eagle shot and his smoke tells the whole story.
As I am switching views from aircraft to aircraft, I come across this odd sight. Now what could this be all about?
I focus to my “other” task, that of actually completing my assigned mission. Here you see the target field and a MiG headed for earth in pieces.
I hit the IP and make my turn to line up. Switch from Nav to AG mode, make sure CCIP is on and we have good spacing. As I pass over the town to the North of the field, AAA opens up on me and I wish I hadn’t placed those extra guns. On my target run, I give Cowboy12 instructions to put weapons on target.
