The MiG-29 has his hands full
already though as one of our F-16 escorts has engaged
him and a vicious gun fight ensues. The F-16 and the MiG-29
twist and turn through the skies becoming both the hunter
and the hunted several times. |

A second F-16 joins the fray
and the MiG-29 dumps flares and breaks hard avoiding a
heat seeking missile. |
 |
The closer F-16 closes into guns
range and starts firing but the MiG-29 evades. |
 |
The turning fight continues and
it appears to be a draw for now. |
 |
I can see the action on my RWR
scope as the MiG-29 and F-16s stay engaged off our right
flank. Better them than me I think to myself. |
 |
Turning inbound direct to the
target the situation gets even more complex as new MiG-21
symbols and additional MiG-29 symbols pop up on the RWR
scope. |
