But how does FSX handle the fly-by-wire (FBW) system that Airbus uses? Quite well! Better than PSS did back with their add-ons for FS9. All of the flight computer bank and pitch limitations are there and when you stick the A321 into a roll and pitch the flight computer holds those pitch and bank values indefinitely. During the stall test I was surprised they modeled the Alpha-Floor protection as well, resulting in an automatic application of TOGA power. If you are in Alpha-Floor when you engage the autopilot you have to do some button clicking to get the autopilot and auto-throttles disengaged and this must be done after the Alpha-Floor has reset or you end up getting stuck with a situation where the auto-throttles keep kicking in on you. It took me a bit to figure that one out. All-in-all I was very impressed with the FBW as modeled by FSX.
